Tuscany, arguably the most famous of all Italian wine regions, boasts some of Italy’s most famous appellations; Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Bolgheri and Vernaccia di San Gimignano to name a few.
Tuscany is vast – from coastal Maremma to the hills of Chianti, it hosts 42 DOCs and 11 DOCGs. Although Sangiovese has always been the dominant grape variety of central Italian red wine, ‘Super Tuscans’ were created outside DOC guidelines, in order to incorporate international varieties in blends such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Join our sommeliers on Tuesday 3rd September who will take us on a journey through the Tuscan hills whilst sharing some of their favourite expressions, with a selection of cheeses to pair.
Wines to be confirmed.
