On 19th September, join Jane Anson as we taste five great reds (’01 vintage) alongside their sister whites (’11 vintage).
Bordeaux whites are among the least-explored and yet most exciting wines of the region – often made in tiny quantities, barrel-aged like the reds and equally capable of subtle, nuanced expression and long ageing in bottle.
This masterclass, hosted by Bordeaux expert Jane Anson will pair the 2011 whites of five of Bordeaux’s most loved properties – Châteaux Margaux, La Mission Haut-Brion, Lynch-Bages, Domaine de Chevalier and Smith Haut Lafitte – with their 2001 reds.
This will be a truly exceptional opportunity to uncover the secrets behind these rare and sought-after wines.
We will taste:
2011 Château Lynch-Bages Blanc
2011 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc
2011 Château Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc
2011 Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux
2011 Château La Mission-Haut-Brion Blanc
