Members are all too familiar with a Tawny Port, sherries from Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez and fortified wine from the Italian region of Marsala.
To showcase all of these stunning wines in a completely new dimension, this event will give Members the opportunity to try rums that have undergone a double maturation process – starting their ageing process in traditional Bourbon barrels before ageing further in casks that previously held wines from Madeira and Cognac, among many others. The bottles presented on the night have been sourced from across the globe by our great friend and Member, Chetan, with the rums originating from Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Mauritius, Panama and Martinique.
This completely unique event will be a very impressive evening – the wine and spirit communities come together as we discover how the rums evolve and adapt when finishing their ageing in wine casks. Do join us for a walk-around tasting of this superb collection…
