A diverse collection of Kent wineries have joined forces to form a brand-new partnership with the aim of championing and developing the county’s vines.
The Wine Garden of England represents the diversity of high-quality producers and wineries located in Kent – a group of industry pioneers, many already delivering award-winning English wines around the world. The seven wineries have now committed to use their combined strength to create a world-class wine trail in Kent.
From the game-changers who are shaping the future of English wine to boutique wineries and family businesses steeped in tradition, each member of the partnership has many interesting stories to tell, and a fantastic experience to offer those who visit.
It is a pleasure to welcome to the Club six of the seven founding members of the Wine Garden of England: Biddenden Vineyards, Chapel Down, Gusbourne, Hush Heath Estate, Simpsons Wine Estate and Squerryes. Domaine Evremond is the seventh Member – a collaboration between Taittinger and UK agent Hatch Mansfield – and doesn’t as yet produce wines. Watch this space.
I do hope you are able to join us for this brilliant walk-around tasting where we celebrate the many expressions of the Garden of England, and meet their winemakers.
